Cocaine worth Rs. 35mn retrieved from Brazilians

The medical staff at Negombo Hospital has retrieved 153 cocaine capsules from the two Brazilians who were arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport.

The estimated value of cocaine capsules weighing 1.4 kg, was Rs. 35 million.

The two Brazilians were arrested by a combined effort by Police Narcotics Bureau and Sri Lanka Customs based on intelligence gathering.

The suspects aged 30 and 24 were apprehended on 30th of June and yesterday.

Now they are warded at Negombo Hospital under police protection.
